Spoilers for the season 2 finale of Alphas after the cut.
This is what the final scene of Alphas looks like:
Except that Alphas was cancelled so that scene of Gary all alone is the final scene of the series, and that's kind of depressing. Yes, they saved most of New York City, but they mostly failed along the way. It's a victory, but not an exciting one.
Not all endings have to be happy, but they should be satisfying. Unfortunately Alphas didn't quite get there and the show won't have the opportunity to redeem itself.
This is what the final scene of Alphas looks like:
- Gary stands in a lower level of Grand Central Station. He's okay, but everyone else in the building is unconscious and lying on the floor because of the photo-stim devices.
- Gary checks on the other Alphas and Dr. Rosen. All are unconscious (maybe worse, in Dr. Rosen's case). Stanton Parrish is lying on the ground with a bullet in his head.
- Presumably, everyone outside of Grand Central Station is okay.
